Two planning days, one complete Profit Plan, and a 30-Day Implementation Pop-Up in January.

Your Revenue Goal Should Have a Job.

Maybe you know you want to make more next year. Maybe you’ve already written down a revenue goal, or you have a number in mind for what you want to pay yourself.

But there’s a difference between saying:

“I want to make $250,000 next year.”

and knowing:

  • what the business needs to pay you
  • what revenue is required to support that compensation
  • what the business can afford to spend
  • what margin needs to remain
  • what cash needs to be protected
  • what has to happen over the next 90 days to make the plan real

A revenue goal tells you what you want to make. A Profit Plan tells you what that money needs to produce.

That’s what we’re building together. Over two planning days, we’ll take the financial information you already have and turn it into a practical 12-month plan.

We Start With CEO Compensation.

Before we build your revenue goal, we start with a more important question:

What does this business need to pay you?

Not whatever happens to be left over.

Not occasional distributions when cash feels good.

Not a number disconnected from what your life actually requires.

A clear CEO compensation goal.

Because your business should be intentionally designed to compensate you.

Once we know what the business needs to pay you, we can work backward into what the rest of the financial model needs to look like.

I want you to be able to tell your money what it needs to do before the year happens.

This Is Not Just a Budget.

A budget tells you what you plan to spend. Your Profit Plan tells you what the business needs to produce.

You’re not coming to sit through a financial presentation. You’re coming to build your plan.

The Intensive is a working planning experience, closer to an executive financial planning offsite than a passive webinar. Across two guided sessions, Thursday, December 10 and Friday, December 11, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM EST each day, you’ll work privately through your own numbers while I walk the group through each decision in order.

Part 1

Build the Financial Model

Establish your CEO compensation goal, revenue target, expense plan, margin target, and cash priorities.

  1. 01

    Your CEO Compensation Goal

What do you want the business to consistently pay you over the next 12 months? Not “whatever is left.” Not occasional distributions.

A clear compensation target that reflects the role this business is supposed to play in your life. It isn’t a number the business is automatically able to pay. The work is determining what financial model it would take to support that pay sustainably, then building the rest of the plan around it.

  2. 02

    Your Revenue Target

Once we know what the business needs to pay you, we can determine what it actually needs to generate, accounting for CEO compensation, team costs, operating expenses, taxes, profit, reserves, and planned investments.

Instead of choosing a revenue number because it sounds ambitious, we build one that has a job.

  3. 03

    Your Expense Plan

We’ll review what the business currently costs to run and decide what needs to stay, what needs to be reduced, what may need to increase, and what no longer belongs in the business you’re building.

The goal isn’t to spend as little as possible. It’s to create a cost structure that supports your compensation and profitability goals.

  4. 04

    Your Margin Target

Revenue alone doesn’t tell us whether the plan works. We’ll determine what needs to remain after the business operates so the company can keep building financial margin.

You’ll establish a margin target based on your business model and goals, and identify what may need to change to move toward it.

  5. 05

    Your Cash Plan

Profit on paper is not enough. We’ll identify what cash needs to be intentionally protected for taxes, operating reserves, debt, future investments, hiring, and growth opportunities.

So increased revenue can actually create greater financial stability.

Part 2

Turn the Model Into Decisions

Pressure-test the numbers, decide what needs to change in the business, set your annual financial priorities, and define your first 90-day moves.

  1. Pressure-Test the Plan

A plan only helps if it holds up against the real business. We’ll test your numbers, look at what has to change to support them, and set the financial priorities for the year.

  2. 06

    Your 90-Day Priorities

Then we turn the 12-month plan into the first 90 days: the most important financial priority, the numbers you need to monitor, the decisions that need to happen first, and what can intentionally wait.

Because a 12-month plan only works when you know what to do next.

From the Margin Assessment

You May Already Have the Pieces.

Across the service-based business owners who have completed the Margin Assessment, from businesses under $150K through $300K–$700K in annual revenue, the dominant pattern isn’t a lack of financial systems. Many already have bookkeeping, review financial reports, pay themselves, save for taxes, generate meaningful revenue, and have profitable months.

What’s often missing is one connected financial plan.

Financial Plan100%don’t yet have a complete financial plan connecting revenue, expenses, and CEO compensation
CEO Pay83%don’t have CEO compensation fully structured
Margin83%don’t clearly know or intentionally manage their profit margin
Cash83%aren’t consistently allocating revenue across taxes, profit, and operating cash

Based on Margin Assessment responses from service-based business owners. These are first-party findings from my own assessment data, not industry-wide benchmarks.

Revenue is coming in, but the financial structure behind it isn’t always fully built.

This pattern shows up across revenue levels. More revenue doesn’t automatically create more CEO pay, stronger margins, or healthier cash.

And the goals respondents name are remarkably consistent. They want to know their numbers. They want clearer cash flow, more profit, and consistent pay. They want better financial structure and visibility, and financial systems that support long-term growth. Many aren’t asking for more information at all. They’re asking for guided financial strategy and help creating a financial plan.

The Profit Planning Intensive is where we connect the pieces into one financial plan.

It’s likely a fit if you’re already generating revenue, you’re planning to hire, invest, change pricing, or grow next year, and you want a complete financial plan without committing to ongoing CFO services.

We’ll Start With Your Real Numbers.

After you register, you’ll complete a short preparation exercise so you arrive ready to build. It’s connected directly to what we’ll do together, so nothing you gather is busywork.

It starts with two questions about what the business pays you. From there, you’ll gather enough current information to plan from: revenue, operating expenses, team costs, cash, what you’re setting aside for taxes and reserves, and your current margin if you know it.

You will not be asked to publicly share your financial information with the group.

You work through your own numbers privately while I guide you through the planning process.

Your first pre-work exercise

What is the business paying you now?

What do you want the business to pay you?

Perfect books are not required. Real numbers are.

Why Group?

Because many of the financial decisions business owners are navigating are not unique.

Should I raise my pay?

Can I afford this hire?

Why did my revenue increase without my cash increasing?

Should I cut this expense?

How much should I reserve?

What does the business actually need to make?

Hearing how other CEOs work through these decisions often helps you see your own business more clearly.

You’ll still build your own plan. You’ll simply have guidance and a room of other business owners building alongside you.

This Is About More Than Making More.

You should be able to answer:

If my business reaches its revenue goal next year, what will that revenue actually produce for me?

More revenue should eventually create:

  • stronger CEO compensation
  • healthier profit
  • greater cash stability
  • more intentional investments
  • greater decision-making capacity

Revenue can grow faster than the financial structure behind it. If revenue grows and none of those things improve, the business may be growing without creating more margin.

We’re changing that.

Pay. Produce. Protect. Prioritize.

What You’ll Leave With

You’ll leave with your 2027 Profit Plan and a clear understanding of what your business needs to pay, produce, protect, and prioritize. If you’ve wanted to know your numbers, see clearer cash flow, and pay yourself more consistently, this is where those goals become a plan, built from your real business so you can use it when the decisions show up.

PayWhat the business should consistently pay you.
ProduceThe revenue that pay requires, and what the company can afford to spend.
ProtectThe margin that needs to remain and the cash that needs protecting.
PrioritizeWhat needs to happen first over the next 90 days.

The goal is not simply to make a spreadsheet.

The goal is to create numbers you can actually use to make decisions.

The Same Financial Thinking I Bring to My Private Clients.

The group experience is new. The methodology is not.

My private client work begins with the same questions you’ll work through in the Intensive. Here, that core methodology is adapted into a structured, guided group experience.

What Changes When the Numbers Start Driving the Decisions

From Financial Anxiety to Clarity
I felt like I was randomly doing things in my business without really understanding the numbers. Now I can see the trends, understand what’s working, and make decisions from data instead of anxiety. I’m going into 2027 with a real plan and much more confidence about what the business can support.
BrittneyPrivate client
From Revenue Goals to CEO Pay Strategy
I used to think of my goals as, ‘This is how much I want the business to make.’ Now I work backward from what I want to pay myself to the revenue, pricing, expenses, taxes, and cash flow needed to support it. The numbers feel much less intimidating because I can see what the business needs to do.
TanashiaPrivate client
From Growing Revenue to Sustainable Growth
The business was growing and having profitable months, but I needed more clarity around cash flow, payroll, owner pay, and what growth was costing us. Now I make decisions based on what the business can support, not just sales, and I’m much more intentional about reserves, profitability, staffing, and how we grow.

What This Financial Planning Has Produced in Practice

Profitability

Nagina

~30% → ~50%profit margin

Nagina’s business was already generating strong revenue. The focus became making sure more of that revenue turned into profit, and her profit margin moved from approximately 30% to approximately 50%.

More revenue wasn’t the primary goal. Improving what the existing revenue produced was.

Intentional growth

Dr. Speshal

100%+revenue growth in year one
200%increase in cash on hand

We built a structured profit plan around the business she wanted to operate. In the first year, revenue increased by more than 100% and cash on hand increased by 200%. She used the plan throughout the year to guide financial decisions, consistently hit her financial targets, and later increased her take-home compensation.

Growth became more intentional because there was a financial model underneath it.

Project-based profitability

Jillian

217%net income increase in one quarter
$50K+in cash reserves maintained

Jillian runs a project-based business with large contracts, vendor costs, payroll, reimbursements, project-level expenses, and complex cash timing. We strengthened project-level profitability tracking and used that information to make better operating decisions, while creating greater consistency around her CEO compensation.

Contract size alone doesn’t determine whether a project is financially healthy. She needed visibility into what the work was actually producing after costs.

These are different businesses with different revenue models and different financial challenges. But the financial questions are remarkably consistent.

  1. 01 CEO PayWhat should the business pay the CEO?
  2. 02 RevenueWhat does it need to produce?
  3. 03 ExpensesWhat can it afford to spend?
  4. 04 MarginWhat margin needs to remain?
  5. 05 CashWhat cash needs protecting?
  6. 06 90 DaysWhat needs to happen next?

Those are the questions we work through inside the Profit Planning Intensive.

These reflections and results come from private client engagements. Every business is different, and outcomes depend on each owner’s numbers, decisions, and implementation. The Intensive teaches the same core methodology in a group format and isn’t private advisory.

About Your Facilitator

Iyanna Vaughn

Founder & CEO, Lovely Financials Group
CFO & Financial Strategist

I’m Iyanna. For nearly 11 years, I’ve helped business owners strengthen cash flow, improve margins, build financial plans, and make better financial decisions.

I want CEOs to build businesses that don’t simply generate impressive revenue. I want the business to:

  • pay the CEO well
  • create healthy margins
  • protect cash
  • support intentional growth
  • create enough financial margin to support life outside the business

What Happens After the Intensive?

You leave with your Profit Plan. Then you start using it.

Included · January

30-Day Implementation Pop-Up

You won’t leave with a workbook and be left entirely on your own. About 30 days after the Intensive, once you’ve actually started implementing, we’ll come back together for a live follow-up session.

Bring the questions that surfaced, the numbers you need to adjust, the decisions you’re reconsidering, and the parts of the plan that need to be pressure-tested against what’s showing up in the real business.

It’s one focused follow-up session, not ongoing advisory support.

If the process reveals a more complex financial issue, such as significant team restructuring, major hiring decisions, cash-flow challenges, or a need for more customized strategy, you may also have the option to request a Profit Gap Call to determine whether private advisory support makes sense. Private support is not required to participate in the Intensive.

Prefer Private Support?

If you know you want more individualized financial strategy rather than a group experience, you can book a Profit Gap Call. We’ll look at the financial decision or gap you’re trying to solve and determine whether private support is the right fit.

Questions

When is the Intensive?

The Founding Profit Planning Intensive is a two-part experience: Thursday, December 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM EST, and Friday, December 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM EST.

You’ll also be invited to the 30-Day Implementation Pop-Up in January.

Who is the Profit Planning Intensive for?

The Profit Planning Intensive is designed for established service-based business owners who are already generating revenue and have enough financial activity to build a meaningful plan from.

You do not need to be at a specific revenue level, but this experience will be most useful if you already have real revenue, expenses, and business decisions to work through.

Do my books need to be completely up to date?

No. Your books do not need to be perfect.

You should, however, have a reasonable understanding of your recent revenue, expenses, current CEO compensation, team costs if applicable, cash on hand, and major financial obligations.

Before the Intensive, you’ll receive guidance on what information to gather so you can come prepared.

Will I have to share my financial information with the group?

No.

You will work through your own numbers privately while I guide the group through the planning process.

You will never be required to publicly share your revenue, compensation, cash balance, or other private financial information.

Is this a budgeting workshop?

No.

A budget primarily tells you what you plan to spend.

Inside the Profit Planning Intensive, we are building a broader financial plan around what your business needs to pay you, generate, spend, retain, and protect.

We’ll work through CEO compensation, revenue, expenses, margin, cash priorities, and your first 90 days of implementation.

How personalized is the experience?

This is a guided group planning experience, not private CFO consulting.

I’ll be teaching the same core financial planning methodology I use with private clients and helping you apply the framework to your own business.

You will have opportunities to ask questions and think through your decisions, but the Intensive is not designed for a complete individualized analysis of every participant’s business.

If the process reveals a more complex financial issue that requires deeper customization, you may have the option to request a Profit Gap Call afterward.

Will there be a replay?

Yes.

Everyone who registers for the live Profit Planning Intensive will receive access to the replay afterward.

If you can’t attend every planning block live, you’ll still be able to go back through the teaching and revisit your Profit Plan.

The live experience, however, is where you’ll be able to work through the framework in real time, ask questions, and build alongside the group.

The Goal

Not another spreadsheet you forget about.

Not a revenue number you picked because it sounded good.

Not another year of making money and wondering where it went.

Don’t enter 2027 hoping the numbers work out. Build the plan before the year begins.

Start with CEO pay. Build the rest around it.
